Dear World....
Welcome to the inner sanctum of a dark humored San Francisco Bay area jazz vocalist & artist. Who knows, you may learn something or smirk that subtle little smirk that brings a moment of pleasure to your everyday life.
My birth name [as read on my birth certificate] Tracy Lyn Grigonis born on December 13, 1962 - in San Rafael, CA at 2:09am. I am a San Francisco Bay area native. I grew up in Sonoma county in the 60's & 70's. I started singing at an early age and spent many years singing in Pentecostal gospel choirs. I kissed a few toads, married and divorced a couple. Never had any kids.
I spent years in vocal training. I have had the fortune to study with Raz Kennedy (Bobby McFerrin Voiceorgistra), The Jazz School in Berkeley, CA and studied with David Stroud (Speech Level Singing). I worked as a lead vocalist in Rhythm & Blues, Americana bands, Big Funk Corporate Dance Bands through the 80's & 90's. I began working as a Contract Project Administrator, "Corporate Gypsy", in 2000 by day, did music by night.
Somewhere in the middle, great tragedy struck my life. I found myself lost in a PTSD medical nightmare followed by a neck & spinal injury and lived with severe chronic pain for years. I started listening to the blues. The blues saved my life. Searching for balance I started studying every kind of alternative health and truth out there. I dug deep down and discovered the answers to many secrets.
It took me until 40 to start creating the life I love. I started singing the jazz & blues in 1999 and am currently in a recording project. I decided I want to have fun and create beauty for the rest of my days on this planet. I trust in my process. The Universe provides everything I need when I need it and I want to share it with you.
May you enjoy what ever comes from my brain, voice, words, kitchen, spirit and artistic creation of silliness & heart. I love you and if your feeling lonely and sometimes crazy as hell, please know you are not alone.
I encourage any input, responses, wisdoms and really weird stuff you want to hurl my way.
Very Truly Yours,
Tré Taylor
