What are Artists?

I guess with most great artists comes a tortured soul of some sort. The REAL good ones are seasoned with broken hearts, shattered dreams and mental illness. If they don’t create or allow themselves the freedom of Self Expression, they end up lost or dead or worse, sucked onto the Hamster Wheel of Society, running for their lives like corporate slaves to the pre-designed culture… on the great wheel of death and taxes…debt, TV, mortgage, kids, spouse, Fear, family obligations, keeping a human contained and enslaved lifetime after lifetime.

The artist has the audacity to say NO to the system, they find a way to bring back what is missing, and that is The Spirit of us all. Artists remind us of why we ARE here on this planet after all, and what makes life so very much worth living. They live rocky lives so they can remind themselves, and along their self discovery, we find personal truths within their beauty of self expression.

I guess this is what my life is about right now. Being a torch singer can be hard on the heart. I just am tired of being so friggin tortured, maybe I need a break from singing such sad songs for awhile. Maybe “Longing” is getting boring for me. I’m feeling like adventure is afoot in my soul and I need to set sail for some new sort of living. Maybe become a gypsy for awhile and live in between the cracks. Become an observer of beauty and life for awhile.

Like a hidden butterfly on the wall of the world.

I decided I need a boyfriend...

He needs to be an engineer minded, handyman craftsman, thrill seeker that plays jazz piano and wants to do national music tour with me across the US, that is not afraid to live unconventionally for a spell and fulfill a combined list of things we both want to do before we die!

It starts with…taking a 26 ft. Box Truck and custom converting the interior into a luxurious artistic modern apartment, an enclosed standing shower, kitchen living room/office, wet bar and bedroom - with ingenious storage space.

The outside would be generic white and commercial looking, easy to park and unsuspecting. No windows on the sides, skylights that open, a fan for ventilation and solar panels on the roof for power.

It would be great to get a truck that would have an entrance door inside the cab to the back, that way we could put a big lock on the back siding roll-up door. No one would know we were in there. Insulating the walls with something sound proof and warm/cool protective would be a plus.

Class “C” license would be preferred. 200 gallon fresh and Gray water tank, waterless water heater, propane stove, flat panel wide screen TV for DVD’s, laptops, wireless internet, lights and any other electrical needs.

Fill up the Gas/Diesel, Water, & Propane….take off for as long as we want to tour North and South America!

Tours on my list:
* Play in the sexiest little clubs all across the country at our own pace.
